Lutein and zeaxanthin belong to the group of carotenoids and cannot be produced by the body. As a natural yellow colour pigment, lutein is primarily found in yellow and green vegetables but also in egg yolk. The strongest concentration of lutein in the human organism is found in the retina in the eye. It particularly strengthens the sharpest vision range in the macula, also referred to as the "yellow spot". It helps to filter the short-wave blue light that is particularly damaging to the eyes, which is why lutein is often called a "pair of natural sunglasses. With increasing age, the usual concentration of lutein in the macula reduces, which is why a nutritional supplement with lutein is recommended.

Each capsule contains 20 mg pure lutein.
Ingredients: Linseed Oil, Gelatin, Safflower Oil, humectant Glycerin, Lutein Oil with Lutein (4 %) and Zeaxanthin; anticaking agent Silicon Dioxide, Vitamin B2, colouring agent Iron Oxide.
Recommended dose: 1 capsule daily to be swallowed with sufficient liquid.
