Chitosan is derived from chitin, a substance which occurs naturally in many organisms. Taken as a dietary supplement, Chitosan contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol level. According to a statement by the EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority, this positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 3 grams of chitosan, which is guaranteed if the recommended daily dosage is observed.
To Chitosan we have added Calcium that contributes to a normal function of the digestive enzymes.
Each capsule contains 400 mg chitosan and 60 mg calcium.
Ingredients: Chitosan from crustaceans (62 %), Calcium Carbonate, Gelatine, separating agent Magnesium Stearate.
Recommended dose: take 4 capsules half an hour before main meals at lunchtime and in the evening or before high-fat meals with sufficient liquid (at least 250 ml). As this is a fibre-rich dietary supplement, you should drink 2–3 litres of liquid daily.
To ensure that your requirements for fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K as well as essential fatty acids are met, we recommend taking Herbafit Chitosan Capsules with only 2 of your 3 main meals. In addition, you should consume at least one meal a day containing high-quality oils and fats, which supply the body with fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids.
When taking medication, Herbafit Chitosan Capsules should only be taken after consulting a doctor. When taking fat-soluble medicines (the pill), fat-soluble vitamins or essential fatty acids (e.g. omega-3 fatty acids), ensure that there is a sufficient interval of at least 4 hours before taking Herbafit Chitosan Capsules.
